roof condensation problem

Date: February 19, 2010 12:31AM i have a 1980 torch 14 by 70 roof is condensating so bad the celing is wet next to outside walls what can i do ? all ready have celing panels removed. Re: roof condensation problem

Date: February 19, 2010 05:39AM Use vent fans in kitchen and bath religiously. If you have the ceiling out, make sure you replace the plastic vapor barrier before replacing the ceiling. You likely need more roof vents. This is very common among higher priced homes of this age. You may need a turbine vent or two. (whirly bird) Is the home shingled roof or metal? Make sure there is no moisture underneath the home. This house might have mechanical ventilation. Check the roof vents you have to see if any have electric fans, if so the motor might be burned out.
