Date: May 10, 2002 06:58AM There is probably no single answer to your question. The amount of land needed to establish ANY residence is set by local zoning codes. Each county or municipality sets local zoning regulations. Here, in Marion County Florida, you can put a home on as little as a quarter of an acre in an established subdivision where they offer central water and septic. We find most of these in or close to towns, in areas where there is planed urban expansion. Out in the country, where there are mostly farms, in our county, you can be required to have as much as ten acres to install a residence. To find out exactly what you can and cant do with your location contact your local Building and Zoning Departments. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
